ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - "JUNE ITC" COURSE

The course is designed around the following key principles:
  • Motivation – understanding the stresses caused from the ITC examination, understanding the key elements of success in the examination, and using this knowledge to empower and motivate candidates to start studying again early and achieve the goals they set out to achieve!
  • Guidance and Discipline – striking the right balance! Regular class attendance keeps candidates disciplined in their study approach and motivates them to strive even more! We have designed most of the contact sessions for Saturday mornings, thereby not overburdening the weekend study time - ensuring that you receive regular guidance on a weekly basis, whilst also allowing sufficient time for you to spend studying on your own time for the remainder of the weekend in the weeks leading up to the June ITC!
  • Balance –life is about balance and studying and work commitments must be balanced. We believe the June ITC Board Course strikes the perfect balance. Streamlined course material and key targeted question banks ensure that candidates are spending time on material and questions that are adding value in the most efficient manner.

THE RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  1. Motivate yourself to start your preparations as soon as possible towards the June ITC again! We know that if you wrote the ITC in January and were unsuccessful, regaining your confidence after an unsuccessful attempt is very difficult, but we remind you of the following quote: “The greatest glory in living lies not in ever falling, but in rising every time we fall” (Nelson Mandela). The turnaround time is very short, so it is important that you take action quickly in order to begin preparing for the second sitting.
  2. Register for the June ITC Course (repeat candidates) or the Board Course combo package (first time candidates).
  3. Attend the program launch – key information will be communicated here, as well as a plan of action going forward before the contact sessions begin, in order to optimise your study program most efficiently.
  4. Attend all contact sessions.
  5. Prepare for sessions beforehand as indicated in the day to day study guides of the June ITC Board Course file.
  6. Work out all tutorials and questions provided.
  7. Work consistently throughout the course period, using the day-to-day study planner to assist you in getting through the course material.
  8. Give it your best in the final stretch.
  9. Pass the June sitting of the SAICA ITC in June 2019.
